GENERAL HISTORY:

John Fantry, a member of the bar since 1974. Certified in Mediation and Arbitration. Served as General Counsel for the South Carolina Electric Cooperatives from 1974 to 1985. Worked as an Associate and shareholder of Austin, Lewis and Rogers, P.A. until opening Fantry Law in April of 2000. Served as Hearing Officer for the SC Department of Revenue prior to the creation of the Administrative Law Court and serves as Hearing Officer for South Carolina Department of Education and South Carolina Labor, Licensing and Regulation.

John Fantry has a general law practice that emphasizes working with Municipalities, Counties, Special Purpose Districts, other public bodies and nonprofit water and sewerage companies throughout South Carolina. He assists clients in organizing businesses, including Corporations, S-Corporations, Limited Liability Corporations, Cooperatives, and Non-profit Corporations. He represents regulated and non-regulated utilities and provides legislative drafting services on the Municipal, Special Purpose District, County, and State levels. He is available as an independently contracted Hearing Officer, Mediator or Arbitrator, as well as, Circuit Court appointed Mediator or Arbitrator.
